About me
Passion for big band arranging
In 1976 I started my study classical guitar at the Rotterdam conservatory. No study 'jazz-musician' at that time in Europe but one year later I was lucky to follow some lessons from the Dutch composer/arranger Frans Elsen. This is where my interest for big band - writing evolved.
Later on I studied with Bob Brookmeyer, Jerry van Rooyen, Otto Ketting, and Rob Pronk.
Since 1984 I worked as a bandleader and arranger with several big bands, wrote music for Dutch television programs and taught at the preparatory course of Codarts, the Rotterdam Conservatory.
