Big Baby Boom Boogie (Rob Catlender) - big band arrangement featuring alto-saxophone
This piece features the alto-saxophone. I wrote it for a friend of mine, Rogier de Mulder and his three lovely daughters Rosanne, Amelie and Julia.
It is an altered boogie scheme with an extended ending. Towards the end of the piece the horns play a rhythmic jigsaw puzzle leading to the climax.
Level: intermediate, though rhythmically challenging.
